Every band starts with a 14-day free trial — no card, and the trial workspace converts to whichever band you pick. All prices in Australian dollars, excluding GST. The signup page works out which band you need from your headcount and device count. Larger than 5,000 records? Talk to us.

Every band includes

  • ✓Unlimited logins, with four roles from owner to read-only viewer
  • ✓People, groups, folder permissions, licences, assets and maintenance
  • ✓Onboarding and offboarding checklists, and a knowledge base
  • ✓MunkiKey — a password generator and one-time password links
  • ✓Single sign-on, scoped API tokens, and the MCP server for AI assistants
  • ✓CSV import and export, a recycle bin, and an audit log

There is no higher tier that unlocks SSO or the API. The bands differ by size and nothing else.

What counts as a record

Counted

  • ✓Each person, including anyone who has left
  • ✓Each group and shared mailbox
  • ✓Each asset — laptops, workstations, printers, servers

Not counted

  • —Folders and their permissions, however deep the tree
  • —Licences, checklists, maintenance jobs
  • —Knowledge articles, and the recycle bin

Twenty people with forty laptops, ten groups and fifteen shared mailboxes comes to 85 records — comfortably inside the first band.

Add MunkiWho from Settings › Licence and it appears in the sidebar of the dashboard you already use — same sign-in, same accounts, one invoice — at the add-on price shown on each band. Start with MunkiWho on its own and add MunkiSee later, and nothing moves: it is the same workspace either way.

Billing questions.

What happens when we outgrow a band?
Moving up is a single click in Licence settings: your subscription is adjusted and the difference is prorated, with no new checkout. Going over a band only stops new records being added — reads, edits, deletes and exports all continue, and nothing is ever hidden, locked or deleted. The way back under a band is to delete records, which you can always do.
Why do leavers still count?
Because a leaver is still a record the directory holds — what they had, what was taken back, and when. Making them free would let a directory be emptied on paper to reduce a bill, and the offboarding history is often the part an audit asks for. If you genuinely want them gone, delete them and they stop counting.
Is annual billing cheaper?
Yes. Annual is billed once up front at 20% off the monthly price — the figures shown with the toggle above are the yearly charge spread over twelve months, and the real charge is stated underneath and again at checkout. A twelve-month commitment paid monthly is also available; choose it at checkout.
Is there a free trial?
Not a separate one. The first band is $29 a month, cancellable at any time, and everything you enter can be exported to CSV — so trying it is a month, and leaving costs nothing but the export. If you already have a MunkiSee trial, MunkiWho is available inside it.
What happens to our data if we stop paying?
Nothing is deleted. The workspace locks and the directory stops being editable, and everything is there again the moment a plan is back in place. You can export the lot to CSV at any time while it is active.
Can we run it on our own servers?
Yes. A self-hosted MunkiWho server is the same Windows installer shape as self-hosted MunkiSee and stores its data in SQLite on the machine you run it on. It is licensed by the same bands. Talk to sales for installers and a licence key, and see self-hosting in the documentation.
